Base Camp Sports is a summer program that services Lanark County and operates locations in Carleton Place, ON and Perth, ON. Our camp strives to create a participant ecosystem that is based on respect for others, team building, general sports development and fun. Our goal is to inspire participants to be thoughtful, respectful, and kind to others while thriving in a safe, fast paced, and fun setting.
Our sports programs allow players to challenge themselves, have fun and stay active! By being exposed to a wide-variety of sports /games, each child will grow a stronger awareness for how their bodies are designed to move. All skill levels are welcome to join our camp! Boys and girls, ages 7-12, are encouraged to sign up and take part in a truly memorable summer experience!
Multi-Sport Activities
Our activities will run based off of the physical education model "Teaching Games for Understanding". Our activities will use a blend of target games, net/wall games, striking/fielding games, and territory games. These categories represent games and activities that are similar in structure. By exposing children and youth to the primary rules, fundamental skills, and tactical problems associated with each category, they become literate in a variety of games, activities and sports and develop an understanding and competency of the skills and tactics associated with playing sports.
